AfriCGE works to deliver capacity building and networking outcomes with strategic significance for the transition towards a green economy in east and southern Africa. We do this by working closely with individuals, governments, business and civil society in the region to foster collective action for sustainable development. With our collective expertise and experience in water, energy, food security and climate change, we are afforded the opportunity to catalyze change in the transition towards a green economy.
We have developed a New Economy Approach to enterprise development that focuses on accelerating enterprises at the Base of the Pyramid (BoP). The new economy is a framework that seeks to place the wellbeing of people and the planet at the centre of economic development.
The New Economy Accelerator (NEA) Programme, offers enterprise development, mentorship and eco-inclusive business modelling, to high impact social and environmental start-ups in the green economy sector.
- Enterprise Development: We have proprietary content in the form of programme modules for accelerating enterprises to scale up and become investment ready
- Mentorship and Coaching: Provision of one-on-one mentorship between established business leaders and social and environmental entrepreneurs
- Eco-Inclusive Business Modelling: We provide tools and approaches for business model innovation to enable eco-inclusive business
