About the Session

Africa’s transition to a low-carbon economy cannot succeed without the voices and leadership of communities at the forefront of climate vulnerability. This session will spotlight tangible stories from Uganda, South Sudan, and South Africa, showing how grassroots innovation is creating pathways for resilience, peacebuilding, and green jobs.

The discussion will connect these local experiences to broader investment and policy frameworks, with a special spotlight on Grofund, a catalytic vehicle for accelerating transition investments in fragile states. A high-level panel of experts will reflect on how to scale these pathways and ensure Africa’s just transition is truly inclusive.
