The environment provides important ecosystem services upon which people and the economy are dependent. Current economic models however do not adequately recognize the important role the environment plays supporting economic development. Our work in the environment sector is focused on delivering solutions that seek to mainstream environmental concerns into the economy.
With the impact of climate change projected to affect most sectors of economy, we are seeking to promote climate change adaptation measures that help to build resilience both at the community level and the economy as a whole. Our key projects here include:
- Assessing the agricultural futures of Zambia, under the USAID initiative on Low Emissions Development Strategies (LEDS) in partnership with IFPRI;
