Shaping Inclusive Transitions (SIT)

SIT is AfriCGE’s policy and systems transformation platform focused on advancing inclusive just transitions.

It brings together policymakers, researchers, and communities to develop practical solutions for equitable economic transformation.

Key activities include:

Green Enterprises and Financial Innovation Hub

The Green Enterprises and Financial Innovation Hub supports the development and financing of green enterprises across Africa.

The hub focuses on strengthening local value chains, supporting climate innovation, and unlocking new financing pathways for sustainable businesses.

Key areas of work include:

  • green SME incubation and acceleration

  • climate finance innovation

  • investment readiness support

  • enterprise development in emerging green sectors

The hub aims to strengthen Africa’s ecosystem for green entrepreneurship, job creation, and sustainable industrial development.

 

Green Economy Leadership Academy (GELA

The Green Economy Leadership Academy is AfriCGE’s capacity building platform.

It equips policymakers, practitioners, and business leaders with the knowledge and skills required to navigate Africa’s evolving green economy.

Programmes include:

  • climate finance training

  • green economy strategy programmes

  • ESG and sustainability leadership courses


Africa Green Jobs Forum (AGJF)

The Africa Green Jobs Forum is AfriCGE’s continental convening platform.

It brings together policymakers, investors, entrepreneurs, and civil society to advance dialogue and partnerships around green jobs and inclusive economic transformation in Africa.

The Forum provides a space for stakeholders to explore how these opportunities can translate into real economic benefits for communities.

Through high level dialogues, knowledge sharing and partnership building, the Forum helps connect ideas with action and investment.
