Olga Mapanje

Researcher: Climate Finance and Agriculture

Olga Mapanje is a Research Fellow at the African Centre for a Green Economy. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Rural Development Planning at the University of Pretoria as part of the Southern Africa Climate Finance Partnership project on “Catalyzing Climate Finance for the Southern African Development Community. She holds a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Agricultural Economics and Extension and a Master of Science degree in Agricultural and Applied Economics, both from the University of Zimbabwe. Her research interests include climate change adaptation, climate risk management, and sustainable food systems among smallholder farmers in developing countries. She has a passion for the development of sustainable agro-based rural livelihoods in developing countries and is greatly interested in being part of a community that works towards sustainable development research..
